William “Terry” Seamon, 66, Collierville, TN formerly of Oblong, IL passes away Tuesday August 7, 2018 from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident on July 27, 2018 near his home.
Terry was born on October 4, 1951 in Crawford County, IL and was the son of Richard “Dick” Seamon and Angelita “Angie” (Gangloff) Seamon. On July 17, 1971 he married Shirley Cook.
Terry worked for the State of Tennessee Juvenile Detention as head of the Maintenance Dept and was going to retire in October of 2018. Terry was a member of the Oblong High School Class of 1969 and served in the United States Army and Navy during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and cleaning and detailing his cars and trucks.
Terry is survived by his parents Dick and Angie Seamon of Oblong, IL; wife Shirley Seamon of Collierville, TN; a daughter Sabrina Seamon of Morristown, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law Rick and Linda Seamon of Oblong, IL and Paul and Tina Seamon of Stoy, IL; a sister and brother-in law Jackie and Lafe Graham of Oblong, IL; sister-in-law Cindy Turner of St. Louis, MO and a half sister-in-law Janet Parsons Van Winkle of Richmond, IN.
A Celebration of Terry’s Life will be held at a later date.
